Sorry, My Wife Has a Hole in Her Brain Chapter 23 Part 2

Following Liang Yun’s order, Xie Shian sent Su Wenqing to the gate of Xie's mansion. Along the way, he found that Su Wenqing glanced at him twenty-four times, and in twenty-four of those glances her eyes were filled with sympathy.

Sympathy......

Xie Shian really couldn't figure out where that emotion came from...

On the twenty-fifth time, Xie Shian couldn't help it anymore. He met Su Wenqing's gaze and gave a questioning expression.

Su Wenqing laughed awkwardly twice, "Madam Xie just told me to take you out to play when I have a chance, so that you don't have to stay in the house all day. When will you get a day off?"

Xie Shian hesitated, "My mother asked you... to take me... out to play?" He felt that he needed to discuss the issue of man's dignity with his mother after he returned.

Su Wenqing felt that people who liked the same sex were all sisters, and there was no need for false formalities between sisters, so she did not exchange pleasantries with Xie Shian. She patted Xie Shian on the shoulder and comforted him.

"Madam Xie told me everything. You have done a good job over the years."

Xie Shian frowned slightly, suppressing the memories of the dead bodies all over the city that surged into his mind.

Su Wenqing thought of the bond between Xie Shian and the Fifth Prince, and sincerely counseled: "Give yourself a few days off occasionally. Look at other people and other things more. Maybe you will find that what you have been obsessed with is just a mirage. If you look at it from a different angle, you may be able to see it more clearly."

Xie Shian had an unclear expression. He knew that his mother had not arranged a marriage for him because she hoped that he could find someone he liked. However, although their family was rich and powerful, and he seemed to have unlimited glory, there were many frustrations that others could not imagine. He knew that his mother had silently blocked a lot of troubles for him over the years.

Xie Shian glanced at Su Wenqing. Was the reason why his mother said so much to her because she wanted to matchmade the two of them?

Su Wenqing met Xie Shian's eyes with confusion.

Xie Shian smiled gently, "Miss Su is right. I will take a day off the day after tomorrow."

Su Wenqing said cheerfully, "Okay, then the evening after tomorrow, so you can still have a good rest the next day."

"In the evening?" Xie Shian hesitated for a moment, "Okay, where do you want to go, Miss Su? Do you need me to arrange it in advance?"

"I'm taking you out to play, so naturally I'll make the arrangements," Su Wenqing patted Xie Shian on the shoulder and said with a smile, "I guarantee you'll have a great time."

Seeing Su Wenqing's confident look, Xie Shian couldn't help but smile, "Then I would like to thank Miss Su in advance."

Su Wenqing blinked triumphantly, then lowered the curtain.

Xie Shian smiled and shook his head, and only turned back after the Su family's carriage disappeared at the end of the street.

In Madam Xies courtyard.

As soon as Xie Shian entered the room, he saw his mother sorting the pieces of paper on the table. He picked up one curiously, "A vertical line, a square? What is this?"

Liang Yun took the piece of paper back from Xie Shian with disdain, "What do you mean by a vertical line? This is the number ‘one’."

Xie Shian coughed and sat on the couch, "Don't you think you have been disliking your own son since Miss Su came to our house?"

Liang Yun smiled and spread his hands, "I can't help it. Miss Su is much more interesting than you."

Xie Shian: "Mother likes Miss Su?"

Liang Yun glared at Xie Shian. After a day of testing, she was sure that the girl from the Su family really had no feelings for her son. When Liang Yun thought of this, the disgust in her eyes became even stronger. What's the use of being talented in both civil and military? He can't even chase the girl he likes.

Xie Shian got another glare for no apparent reason, his expression innocent and bewildered.

Liang Yun laughed in anger. She collected the papers while asking indirectly, "What do you think of Miss Su?"

"Miss Su?" Xie Shian hesitated for a moment, "She's... not bad."

Born in such a noble family, he had never had much hope for love. If a good match was easy to find, how could there be so many unhappy couples in the world? Rather than both parties being forced, it would be better to marry a woman who cared about him, not to mention that his mother also liked her.

Liang Yun was puzzled, "She’s not bad?"

Xie Shian racked his brains, "Lively, interesting, um... always unexpected?"

Xie Shian's answer was not much different from what Liang Yun expected. She smiled and said meaningfully, "Responsibilities may be important in life, but you are still young. There is no need to give up your youth too early because of the responsibilities on your shoulders. What's more, those are not what you should bear. Look at you. How long has it been since the last time you really laughed out loud?"

Xie Shian shot a cold arrow at his own father without any guilt. He lowered his eyes with pretended sentimentality, "Yeah, I know."

Liang Yun said angrily, "That damn old man, he pissed me off. I’ll let him sleep in the study after he comes back from inspecting the salt. Okay, serve the meal. You can deal with the official documents after dinner."

"Also, can you find some time to send away those girls who bring me supplements all day long? They come to visit me every morning and evening. I am tired even if they are not tired."
