Sorry, My Wife Has a Hole in Her Brain Chapter 1 Part 1

When Su Wenqing woke up, she found herself crying in an old woman's arms. The old woman's wrinkled hands gently stroked her hair, and her kind and loving voice sounded above her head.

"Wenqing, be good. Grandma believes you and will definitely seek justice for you."

Whether it was the reassuring feeling of the old woman's slightly wrinkled hands touching Su Wenqing's head, or the old woman's kind voice and tone, they all sounded very much like Su Wenqing's grandmother, whom she had depended since childhood but had passed away many years ago - if it weren't for the rich and pungent sandalwood scent on the old woman.

Su Wenqing felt that the old woman was like a human-shaped sandalwood stick. She buried her head in the arms of this human-shaped sandalwood stick and was enveloped by the fragrance of incense from all angles. Although she did not want to destroy this warm atmosphere, she could not hold back the physical stimulation!

The earth-shattering sound of "A-choo——" made the whole house quiet, and even the sound of a pin dropping could be heard...

Su Wenqing discovered sadly that this forceful sneeze caused her diaphragm, which was already tense due to sobbing, to spasm. In other words, her sudden sneeze caused her to have hiccups.

"Hic--"

The old woman nervously pulled Su Wenqing up from her arms and asked with concern: "What's wrong? Did you catch a cold when you fell into the water? Where's the ginger soup? Hurry up and bring it to the Third Miss!"

"Hic--"

Su Wenqing looked up and she was stunned. The old woman in front of her was wearing a dark red satin top with dark cloud pattern and a brown pleated skirt. Her silver hair was piled up in a big bun at the back of her head. She had a kind and noble temperament and was dressed like an old lady from a large family in an ancient costume drama.

And wasn't she sleeping in a nine-square-meter plywood rental with a shared bathroom? Whose bed was this, with light pink curtains and delicate orchid-carved nanmu bed?

There was also a girl standing in front of the dressing table, wearing a moon-colored cloud silk skirt, with dark eyebrows and almond-shaped eyes, and a dignified and beautiful appearance that revealed an unconscious charm.

Su Wenqing had never seen such a noble and cold beauty. Even those actors in ancient costume dramas were inferior to her. Of course, she would be more beautiful if her eyes were not so cold...

Su Wenqing could have bet her Taobao balance, which had just reached five figures, that she saw contempt and disdain, as well as a flash of hatred in the eyes of this beauty.

God knows why! She didn't even know this ancient beauty!

"Wenqing, are you okay?" A middle-aged man's voice sounded behind him.

Only then did Su Wenqing realize that there was a middle-aged man in his forties sitting in the room, wearing a navy blue Ruyiyun silk gown. Although he was over forty, his body was well maintained, with bright eyes and eyebrows, and one could still vaguely see the shadow of his elegant demeanor in his youth.

"If you feel uncomfortable, be sure to tell daddy. Don't force yourself." The middle-aged man showed some concern between his brows.

"Yes, it is said that if you keep warm in spring and cool in autumn, you will not get sick. It's only been spring for a short time, so you must not take falling into the water lightly." The old woman said as she wrapped the quilt tightly around her.

Su Wenqing was so confused. Didn't she just take a nap? How did this world become something she didn't recognize?

The old woman looked at Su Wenqing's dull expression and hugged her again with heartache. She angrily said to the middle-aged man sitting beside her: "Do you still need to ask this?! The wife of the Lord Protector saw with her own eyes that it was Su Jinsheng who pushed Wenqing into the lotus pond. Fortunately, it is the beginning of spring now, otherwise Wenqing would have suffered so much! Su Jinsheng is so vicious at such a young age. If she is not severely punished, who knows how much trouble she will cause in the future! If she can break the Su family rules today, she can disobey the emperor tomorrow!"

The middle-aged man glared at the girl standing in front of the dressing table with a gloomy face, and then said to the old woman respectfully, "This son knows you feel sorry for Wenqing, but Jinsheng insisted that she didn't push Wenqing, and Wenqing also said that she fell in by herself.  This son must ask for clarification, what if Jinsheng is wronged?"

The old woman was so angry that her hands began to tremble. "Wenqing is a kind-hearted child who doesn't want to make a big deal out of this. Can't you see that as a father?"

Wait! Why does this conversation sound so familiar? The Su family? The wife of the Lord Protector? Su Jinsheng? Aren't these the characters and plots from the novel "Rebirth of the Splendid Country" that became a hit some time ago because it was adapted into a TV series?

If she remembered correctly, this was the first major event that happened to the heroine Su Jinsheng after her rebirth - the Su family's grandmother celebrated her 80th birthday, and half of the dignitaries in Anjing City were invited to the Su Mansion as guests. Su Jinsheng's half-sister Su Wenqing framed Su Jinsheng for deliberately pushing her into the pond, and gave Su Jinsheng an image of being unruly and domineering in the hearts of all the people in Anjing City.

So she has transmigrated into the book?

And I became Su Wenqing, a fake innocent girl with the same name as myself in the book, who appeared weak on the outside but was vicious on the inside, and cried at every turn to gain sympathy?

Su Wenqing in the book was the one who died the most miserably among all the villains. This was so unfair!

The name was given to her by her parents, why should she bear the consequences?

"Wenqing, you don't have to worry so much. Tell the truth to your grandmother. Was it Su Jinsheng who pushed you?" The old woman looked into Su Wenqing's eyes with concern, her face showing genuine heartache.

In a split second, Su Wenqing had no time to think carefully about the situation she was in. There was only one thing she was very clear about, that was she must not offend the heroine, Su Jinsheng.

"Hiccup - I..."

Su Wenqing was horrified to find that she suddenly could not control her body. No matter how hard she tried, she could not make a sound, and even her facial expressions and fingers could not move.

"It's okay, Wenqing. With grandma here, no one can bully you. Just tell the truth." The old woman patted Su Wenqing's back soothingly.

In the eyes of the other three people in the room, Su Wenqing just lowered her head delicately and thought about what to say. They waited patiently without urging her, and the room was silent for a while.

Su Wenqing was as anxious as an ant on a hot pot: Hey! Can anybody hit me? Has no one noticed that I can't move? Is this your love for me?

The air in the room seemed to be frozen, so quiet that one could hear the breathing of four people...

Su Wenqing's mouth opened slightly uncontrollably, her voice was gentle and pitiful, "Maybe... maybe something I said offended big sister, and big sister was angry for a while, that's why she did this. I believe big sister didn't mean it, Grandma, Daddy, please don't blame big sister."

Su Wenqing was so disgusted by her own delicate voice that her scalp became numb. She was indeed the fake white lotus despised by everyone in the book. Not only did she frame her, but she also forcefully presented an image of being kind and generous.

And what’s with the setting that she can't control her own body? Other people transmigrate into books to experience the plot, but she transmigrated into this book to purely observe?!

If she can only watch from the sidelines, at least give her the female lead role! Why was she given the most miserable female supporting role? Where's the system?! Where's the system?! I'll give a bad review if you don't come out!!
